Our story
EZ Accounts started from a specific frustration: watching client after client hand over a shoebox of receipts every month, reconstruct a quarter's sales tax from till rolls, and only find out they'd been losing money at one branch six months after it mattered. The accounting was never really the problem — the data feeding it was.
So we build the software as well as doing the accounting. When a sale rings up correctly at the till, the books are already right by the time anyone opens them. That's the entire premise the firm is built on, and it's the reason a client can come to us for either half — software, accounting, or both — without one being an afterthought bolted onto the other.
What we believe about finance work
Numbers are only useful on time
A perfect set of accounts delivered six weeks late is a historical document, not a management tool. We'd rather deliver good numbers by a fixed date every month than perfect numbers whenever they happen to be ready.
Software should reduce re-keying, not create more of it
If a system asks you to enter the same sale twice — once at the till, once in a spreadsheet for your accountant — it isn't saving you time, it's just moving the work around.
What's excluded matters as much as what's included
Every service on this site lists what it doesn't cover. A client who knows the boundary of an engagement trusts it more than one who finds out the hard way, mid-engagement.
How engagements are staffed
Every client is assigned a named bookkeeper or accountant who actually knows their business, not a rotating queue. A senior accountant reviews the numbers before anything goes out, and on software engagements, a setup specialist stays involved through your first month live, not just through installation.
